Why use pearl powder?

Ever hear people talk about how Asian women have such beautiful skin?  That’s because they use pearl powder.  This tradition has continued for 4,000 years with it’s roots in China and slowly the secret has leaked to women in the West.

Pearl powder is rich in amino acids, vitamin B complex, and SOD (superoxide dimutase), which retard cellular degeneration, strengthen the muscle, and reduce the formation of dark pigmentation.  The exfoliating, balancing, and softening effects of pearl powder should be enjoyed on a weekly to daily basis.

I usually add about ¼ teaspoon or less of pearl powder to a mask or my crème at night.  A little goes a long way.  1 ounce is enough for about 94 uses, so try adding some pearl powder into your skin care routine.  Pearl powder can help the hands and feet too, so feel free to add some before bed.

The great thing about the pearl powder is if you have already found a skin care routine that works for you, you do not have to change it.  Just add some of the powder to your crème before bed and wake up with silky smooth skin!

Alternately, you can make a homemade mask.  My favorite is a little pearl powder, organic egg white, and crushed up green tea.  I put it on and let it dry (20 min), then wash it off.  It gives my complexion a great glow and helps to diminish fine lines before a big event.

Pearl powder can be taken internally for an allover exfoliating effect.  It is often used in Oriental medicine protocols for acne, excess heat and anxiety.  See what pearl powder can do for you today!
